Halfling Archer And Command Greens

Some updates with the last of the Halfling core infantry sets, sculpted by Juan Montano.

First, the finished singlepart archers:

Secondly, the command set. A mix of singlepart and multipart figures.

Halfling Captain with warhammer:

Halfling Captain with greatsword and interchangeable head option:

Standard bearer with interchangeable hand (open or beermug), head and standard top (rooster or pig):

Musician n° 1 (singlepart), fifer:

Musician n° 2 (singlepart), drummer:

The separate bits:
- 3 heads that fit on the captain with greatsword and standard bearer bodies
- an alternate standardpole hand that can turn any of the initial multipart rank and file set into an alternate standardbearer
- 2 top icons for the standard poles (rooster and pig)
- a bottle, open hand, and beermug hand for the standard bearer body

Once these are with me, I will have them mastermoulded and then we can start cranking out the productionmoulds from the mastercastings for all the sets.

WIP Halfling Archers

A little preview of the WIP halfling archers Juan is working on at the moment. The set will be comprised of 5 figures like the other ones.

Easily my favourite of this batch, this one is taunting the enemy showing he's still got his fingers and can shoot (in reaction to the practice of cutting off fingers of captured archers so they can never shoot again). Just because he's small doesn't mean the dude doesn't have attitude.

A scale comparison with a classic citadel halfling as those are going to be the size standard people will judge them by. I'm tempted to call this one Robin Hoodling...

Halfling Reboot Greens: Halfling Spears and Halfling Swords

Two more sets for the upcoming reboot of the halfling range, these are singlepart figures in the vein of the classic figures of the past. Sculpted by Juan Montaño. These are character sets to add some variation to the units by introducing some different poses.

Halfling spears. As a special touch, one of these is eating, while another (5th) is falling asleep against his spear.

Halfling swords. Noteworthy features are the drinker (1st) and the buttscratcher (2nd):

Halfling Core Infantry Reboot - First greens

These are the greens for the first two sets in the all-new halfling subrange. Unlike Kev's earlier goblin-to-halfling conversion sets, these are sculpted by Juan Montaño in a more old-school "short and stumpy" style. You will now be able to choose between fit, slim halflings (Kev Adams) or stumpy, fatter halflings (Juan Montaño).  In theory, weapons and heads should be interchangeable between the two, though I'll have to put that to the test after moulding.

The whole of the first two core infantry sets. The weapons to the left are intended for the top row of bodies (set 1), the ones to the right are intended for the bottom row of bodies. (except for the bow).

The heads for the first two core infantry sets.

The bodies for the first two sets:

The weapons for the second set of bodies: halberd+shield, spear+shield, sword+shield, twohanded spear, twohanded halberd. The bow and quiver are for set 1.

A better look at the shields: radishes, carrots, tomato...

Hands to go with the bow option on set 1 or for combining the set 1 weapons with set 2 bodies: sandwich, arrows, arrow with skewered apple and a pint.

Your army can't march on an empty stomach. Or on one that hasn't been filled for over an hour. These "extra" rations can be added to figures for more customisation:
